Coleman Engineering Company's main laboratory facility is located at 635
Circle Drive, Iron Mountain, Michigan. At 1,200 square feet of laboratory space,
this facility houses the largest and most complete construction materials/soils
laboratory north of Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 2000, Coleman Engineering
Company developed a full service construction materials laboratory to
support our Ironwood, Michigan office. The laboratory is located at 200 East
Ayer Street, Ironwood, Michigan. The presence of our Ironwood laboratory has
enhanced our service to the construction industry in the western Upper Peninsula
of Michigan and northwest Wisconsin. Recently, we have taken the opportunity to
serve our clients in the Marquette area by establishing a testing laboratory in
Negaunee, Michigan located at 120 B US Highway 41, Negaunee, Michigan.
Coleman Engineering Company maintains a high level of expertise in
testing of soils and construction materials. Our technicians are trained in the
most current standards and testing procedures. All of our technicians are
certified by the Department of Transportation as inspectors of aggregates,
concrete and bituminous mixtures.
Coleman Engineering Company maintains a quality control program that
ensures the integrity of the testing that we provide. Our Iron Mountain
laboratory has successfully completed Government audits and are currently
qualified to provide services to the US Army Corps of Engineers, Michigan DOT,
and Wisconsin DOT. Since its inception in 1969, Coleman Engineering Company
has continually made strides to improve its laboratory capabilities.
